56P Association between HER2 expression level and prognosis using RT-PCR in HER2-low breast cancer

The variation and heterogeneity of conventional immunohistochemistry (IHC) or in situ hybridization (ISH) techniques for measuring HER2 has long been pointed out, the method testing discussed selection appropriate treatment. Therefore, we compared expression RT-PCR using OncotypeDX have correlation with IHC, evaluated as a prognostic factor HER2-negative early breast cancer. ER+/HER2- patients who underwent cancer surgery between 2004 2016 were included. Data from 632 collected analyzed by retrospective chart review at 9 centers to determine if there was IHC RT-PCR. classified negative, HER2-low, positive when mRNA levels ≤ 9.1, 9.2-11.4, and11.5≤, respectively, based on median level negative IHC. Survival curves estimated Kaplan-Meier log-rank test three groups. age 51 years.
